The anomaly — Ungalliup Qaqqai

A May 2026 re-analysis of public GEUS stream-sediment geochemistry identifies a compact high-Σ(La+Ce+Nd+Sm) anomaly near Ungalliup Qaqqai in the Sisimiut region. Within the selected comparison set, the Sisimiut · Ungalliup subset shows a pronounced upper tail, with a 99th percentile of c. 1,858 ppm and a maximum of c. 2,146 ppm, exceeding the corresponding upper-tail values for Nuuk, Maniitsoq/Sarfartoq and Disko Bay.

ΣLREE distribution by region (La + Ce + Nd + Sm, ppm)

Region Samples Median Top 1% Max
Østgrønland 3,763 211 955 5,540
Sydgrønland (Ilímaussaq / Kvanefjeld) 1,493 270 2,262 3,670
Nordvestgrønland 707 253 1,372 2,394
Sisimiut · Ungalliup 290 230 1,858 2,146
Nuuk 460 136 461 1,090
Maniitsoq / Sarfartoq 356 140 454 957
Disko Bay 163 132 526 548

The anomaly should currently be regarded as a priority follow-up target rather than a demonstrated REE occurrence. Further validation is required, including unique sample-ID control, analytical-method harmonisation, catchment analysis, lithological context, La/Yb and Ce/Nd/Y/Th/U/Nb pathfinder evaluation, and field/mineralogical verification.

The platform — crowdsourced exploration

The Nanivaa platform is an industrial-scale reconnaissance approach under our existing Mineral Prospecting Licence (MPL). Operating year-round with locally-trained Greenlandic prospectors based in their home towns, we systematically screen high-priority sample points across West Greenland — identified by a multi-criteria scoring pipeline using GEUS regional geochemistry, G500 lithology, AEROMAG, and stream-network topology. Target: 4-6 MEL applications by 2028, data-driven from field results.

Track record · 2025 — 2026 Field seasons · IX milestones

From founding to MEL application in thirteen months.

In Greenland's compressed exploration window, months matter. Nanivaa was founded in April 2025, closed the operational year with an active prospecting licence, fifty local prospectors signed up, a written declaration of support from the Greenlandic government for the AR-platform, and an approved field report — and opened 2026 by submitting a Mineral Exploration Licence application north of Sisimiut.

Thirteen months. Nine milestones. A field-validated platform, ministerial backing, an active prospecting licence, an MEL application north of Sisimiut, and a community of local prospectors — before any external capital.

Team and Greenlandic anchoring

A locally anchored Greenlandic mining company.

We secure the rights. We work at our own pace. In harmony with the land and the people.

Nanivaa is the first Greenlandic-founded mining technology company. Four of five founders are Greenlanders — bringing decades of fieldwork in Greenlandic geology and mine operations, seismic data research, mineral law and regulatory practice, and field-grade software engineering.

The team is anchored in Sisimiut (CVR 45588335) — not only as a legal construction, but as the place where the work is done and the knowledge lives.
